Companies and Organizations team up to support youth in foster care

From Los Angeles to New York (and everywhere in between), companies are teaming up with nonprofit organizations to support, empower, encourage, and employ youth in foster care.

With support from the business sector, young people who's lives have been touched by the foster care system are getting extended assistance across the country.  For some, it's a welcomed care package at college that they wouldn't otherwise receive, for others it's an opportunity to manage their own apartment under the supervision of a caring adult, and yet for others, it's an entry point to increasing awareness about their experiences by working in the office of a congressional member and gaining a professional wardrobe.

The opportunities to assist children currently in foster care and recently emancipated from the system are endless.  And, from the smallest to the largest, support from the business community opens doors for youth who, most times, face adulthood without the support of a family.  [Read more about ways companies are helping here.]
