Carter's Kids received a gift to attend this weeks NFL's matchup between the Playoff bound Houston Texans and the talented Dallas Cowboys. The gift consist of Tickets and V.I.P. Parking Passes along with On-Field Sideline Passes.

The Tackling Autism Foundation (TAF) was founded by Scott (former NFL offensive lineman) and Ashley Jackson. After their own son, Tyler, was diagnosed with ASD they noticed the extreme uncovered costs of full-time treatment. Scott and Ashley decided to help fill the void. Carter’s Kids asked their kids if they wanted to show support for TAF’s cause and they accepted the invitation and will join the event to raise money for Autism this Saturday. This action of support by our kids will show them that they can help others in need in our community and inspire them to do great things in the community as they become young adults. Come show your support with Carter’s Kids to help reduce the cost of Autism Therapy.

Games & All You Can Eat
Incredible Pizza - Sugar Land, TX
Carter’s Kids RTC Administration Team and Staff took the kids to Incredible Pizza. The kids were able to play lots of video games, miniature golf, and go-kart riding. There was an all you can eat buffet that they really enjoyed. This outing was intended to teach the therapeutic value of cooperation, team building skills and cooperation.

Carter’s Kids went to a boxing match where they were able to see professional boxers Lopez vs Taylor content for the title. The therapeutic value learned was empowerment.

Tim Carter took several kids to Dave and Busters for an outing. The kids were very excited and had a good time. They learned the importance of respect for authority and respect for others.

The Administration Team and Staff took the boys to San Antonio to Fiesta Texas “Six-Flags”! The kids had a great day spent indulging in all the fun the park had to offer. They enjoyed the many rides and played several games. This was a great way to end their summer break as they prepared for school to start when they returned home.

A Day at the Park

The kids and staff attended a Houston Astros baseball game. They enjoyed every moment and asked staff several questions on how the game was played. The boys soaked up the excitement and enjoyed the atmosphere that only a day at the baseball park can provide.

Grandview Church came and sponsored a Crawfish Boil for the kids and staff. Everyone had a great time eating crawfish, playing games and listening to inspiring music.

Dave & Busters - Houston, TX
Tim Carter took several of our boys to Dave and Busters for an outing. The kids enjoyed playing all the games and selecting prices with tickets they earned throughout the night. Some of the kids saved their money/tickets to buy bigger prices at a later date. The therapeutic value learned during the outing was anger reduction and discipline.

Carter's Kids Facilities - Richmond, TX
Grandview Church came and sponsored an Ice Cream and Sundae Event. The kids were allowed to make their own ice cream sundae with all possible toppings. Afterwards they played a few basketball games outside and also competed on the ice hockey table in the game room.

An Evening Shopping with Andre Davis

An Evening with Andre DavisEvent Info:
Tim Carter took several of our boys to the Galleria Mall in Houston to meet Andre Davis who plays in the NFL with the Houston Texans. The kids were amazed that Davis took the time to spend the evening with them shopping and conversing about various things on their mind. Davis also had dinner with the boys at a restaurant and left them with an autographed picture.

Chef's in the Making
Little Chef's Academy - Sugar Land, TX

LaShell Carter took the boys to Young Chef’s Academy where the kids were able to put the culinary skills to test. Excitement filled the room as they cut vegetables and meats to make a specialty dish. They were very competitive, as boys tend to be… when it came time for the taste test they could not wait to see whose dish came out the best! Overall, the boys learned a valuable lesson on learning to cook and safety precautions to take while in the kitchen. This fun filled trip yielded future Independent Living Skills for our boys.

Rashod Moulton plays in the NFL with the Denver Broncos. He resides in St. Petersburg Florida but devoted the month of February in Houston to spend time with the boys at Carter’s Kids. He spent 4 days a week training and exercising with the kids to teach them the therapeutic values of self-esteem, self-improvement, and stress reduction.

Pat Carter VisitsEvent Info:
Pat Carter plays in the NFL with Seattle Seahawks and is also the brother of Tim Carter. Pat visited the facility and worked one on one with our boys’ football and basketball skills. He made it a point make them aware that doing well in school is not only necessary to play a sport but will provide a solid foundation for their independent future. This time spent with the kids motivated them to want to do better in school.

NBA player for the Washington Wizards came to visit our boys at Carter’s Kids. He’s a Star on the courts and a humble man of God of the courts as he was very down to earth as he spoke to our kids and gave them autographs. A couple of weeks later he surprised our boys with an order of basketball shoes. This experience helped to build our boys self-esteem.
